Position Overview:

CSA Group is seeking a highly skilled Special Inspections Representative to join their European Field Evaluations and Verifications team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting technical evaluations of non-certified equipment at manufacturing sites or in the field to ensure compliance with technical requirements and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical evaluations of non-certified equipment to ensure compliance with technical requirements and safety standards.
  • Schedule inspection appointments with clients and provide technical guidance tailored to the Field Evaluation program's scope.
  • Review technical drawings submitted for evaluation and provide feedback.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports outlining necessary alterations for sub-standard equipment.
  • Conduct inspections on cutting-edge technology or complex products and make authoritative technical decisions as needed.
  • Assist in job quoting by integrating technical data and considering time and travel logistics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related Sciences with 3 years industry experience; or Engineering Technology or Associates Degree with 5 years industry related experience; or Journeyman Electrician with 5 years industry related experience; or related technical field with 7+ years industry related experience.
  • Certification / Lab Testing experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and general laboratory procedures.
  • Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian based electrical standards and ability to apply these standards to local installation requirements and/or codes.
