About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Automation Engineer to join our team at Tagetik Software S.r.l. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

Responsibilities:

  • Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios to ensure comprehensive coverage
  • Execute manual tests according to a test plan to identify defects and areas for improvement
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hidden issues and provide feedback to development teams
  • Write automation scripts using existing frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes
  • Participate in backlog refinements and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems
  • Help troubleshoot issues and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects
  • Contribute to the development of approaches that drive quality and productivity

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • Working experience in software test design and testing methodologies
  • Working experience in writing and executing complex test plans (functional, non-functional, regression, integration, performance)
  • Experience with scripting and/or programming languages
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn new things and strong collaboration skills and willingness to work in a highly collaborative environment
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build positive working relationships
  • Ability to resolve well-known cases independently and to ask for help when not confident
  • Fluency in Italian and working knowledge of English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience testing REST/SOAP endpoints
  • Experience with E2E testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium/Cypress)
  • Experience with Test Automation tools (e.g. Robot Framework/Locust)
  • Experience with database technologies (SQL or NoSQL)
  • Experience in programming with Java, C# or Python
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Exposure to the microservices architecture
