About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Service Specialist to join our team in Italy. As a key member of our Process Automation Energy Industries business, you will be responsible for executing service work with low to medium complexity, planning and executing work on a first-time right approach with customers, and showcasing your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform or coordinate complex and diverse engineering activities associated with service projects and contracts.
  • Troubleshoot applying own knowledge and experience.
  • Implement actions to fully explore all possibilities and eliminate/minimize problems.
  • Prepare or provide input for technical documents such as specifications, procedures, or technical reports.
  • Prepare timesheet, service reports, expense reports, and other documents immediately following the work assignment.
  • Propose to Customers ways to optimize their operations or make general improvements.
  • Seek other opportunities to promote Customer satisfaction and foster harmonious business relations.
  • Apply all ABB policies and company ethics.
Requirements
  • Highly skilled in commissioning or service for automation projects.
  • Experience in Power Generation and in Excitation will be considered a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate your experience in problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • At least 2 years experience in automation projects and you are passionate about customer relations.
  • At ease communicating in Italian and English languages.
