Job Title: Compliance Manager

Job Summary:

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the compliance program for Italy, providing functional support for the company's business activities, and advising company managers and employees on all aspects of AbbVie's compliance program and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the compliance program for Italy, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
  • Provide general compliance advice to business and commercial operations, including anti-bribery standards, healthcare compliance laws and regulations, advertising and promotional standards, etc.
  • Ensure local compliance governance, including necessary compliance policies and procedures, risk management, and due diligence.
  • Provide guidance and advice to local commercial and functional teams, and proactively support business matters to ensure compliance with corporate standards and mitigation of compliance risks.
  • Act as a local subject matter expert on all aspects of the compliance program.
  • Keep the local organization and the International Compliance Department updated with all newly published local compliance rules and regulations that may affect commercial operations, local compliance program, or standards.
  • Review and advise on matters and documents related to AbbVie's commercial activities, engagement of healthcare professionals, third parties, and service providers, etc.
  • Regularly provide reports on compliance matters to local country management and the International Compliance Department.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of previous experience in a similar role for pharma and/or medical device business.
  • Practical knowledge of local Italy industry codes for pharma and/or medical device products.
  • Awareness of Italy standards on advertising, promotion of pharma and/or medical device products.
  • Proven experience in establishing and running compliance programs for ABAC risk.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, proven project management experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (written and oral).
  • Experience in developing and delivering training for sales representatives and management teams.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and associated technology is a plus.
  • University degree in law is a plus, but not a requirement of the role.
