Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Regional EHS&S Manager EMEA to join our team. This critical leadership role will be responsible for providing technical environmental, health, safety, and sustainability support to all facilities within Huber AgroSolutions in Italy and Hungary.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration of Huber AgroSolutions' EHS&S programs, strategy, and culture into Italy and Hungary locations.
  • Ensure sites comply with applicable regulations and internal EHS&S requirements, programs, and guidelines by maintaining and monitoring the compliance assurance system, including permit status and requirements, reporting, compliance plans, and audits.
  • Prepare and implement written EHS&S programs and policies.
  • Identify EHS&S training needs and develop and deliver relevant training programs.
  • Take proactive measures to safeguard personnel and assets by advising plant operations of regulatory and company requirements.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to continuously reduce risks and improve the EHS&S management system.
  • Participate in product/process reviews, including process hazard analysis and risk assessments.
  • Implement Corporate EHS&S policies, procedures, and programs based on the Huber Sustainability Management System, including databases for data gathering and reporting. Maintain Management System certification according to ISO standards.
  • Perform and/or coordinate industrial hygiene and environmental sampling and monitoring to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and best practices for both safety and environmental regulations.
  • Act as the owner/sponsor as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Huber Sustainability Management System.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a safety science/engineering/industrial hygiene discipline, environmental science/engineering, or chemical engineering, and knowledge of chemical manufacturing operations.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Good comprehension of management systems (ex: ISO) and risk-based prioritization.
  • Working knowledge of occupational safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations.
  • Effective facilitator and communicator, proficiency in English and Italian.
  • Recognizable leadership skills, ability to effectively lead teams, productively deal with regulatory agencies, consultants, and other contractor personnel.
  • Project management skills in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines, and following up assignments independently.
  • Ability to make explicit engineering recommendations for equipment layout/design changes to effect safety improvements.
  • Ability to travel 20% to various plants/facilities.
