About the RoleThe Project Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of each event, taking the lead throughout the planning and execution phase. This includes on-site event supervision, financial administration, and promoting new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement project strategies to meet client needs and expectations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, key suppliers, and clients to create tailored concepts and programs.
- Select and negotiate vendors to supply event components, ensuring quality and value.
- Design and produce detailed proposals, including costing sheets and presentations.
- Monitor and control services before and during the event, ensuring seamless execution.
- Coordinate with suppliers and handle client inquiries, utilizing personal judgment and initiative to resolve challenges.
- Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations to analyze and improve service delivery.
- Implement standard practices and procedures across markets for consistency.
- Stay up-to-date with industry news and new product ideas, identifying opportunities for growth.
- Degree in tourism, business administration, marketing, or event management.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar position within the MICE business, DMC, or event agency.
- Excellent knowledge of main suppliers, with a focus on destination Italy and the Far East.
- Fluency in English is essential, with additional languages such as Spanish and Portuguese advantageous.
- Strong project and time management skills, with excellent planning and execution abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with sound organizational and MS Office skills.
- Proven track record of project management, with negotiation and analytical skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with internal management and manage relations to ensure professional interaction.
- Expert knowledge of functional areas, with a depth of understanding of company and departmental policies.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and motivational skills when required.
- Ability to effectively influence at multiple levels, with excellent communication skills.
- Team player, team builder, with the ability to work in group situations and as an individual.
