Role Overview

We are in search of a skilled Wind Operations and Maintenance Services Manager to join our team and deliver essential support to a key client in the Energy sector. In this role, you will have the chance to engage in a variety of projects, primarily focusing on Offshore Wind initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the O&M Estimation Manager in formulating and executing business strategies for Offshore Wind O&M services, which encompass operational marketing, pricing, sales, and customer retention.
  • Contributing to the preparation of proposals and scope development, which includes:
    • Estimating project costs and timelines (personnel, materials, services, logistics).
    • Developing and executing O&M package documentation.
    • Identifying potential suppliers.
    • Reviewing supplier documentation.
    • Participating in comprehensive electrical system design opportunities as needed.
    • Engaging in offshore wind farm developments to ensure interface requirements are met.
    • Leading coordination with other departments such as Proposal, Commercial, Maintenance Engineering, and Commissioning for submissions, proposals, presentations, contract negotiations, and related tasks.
    • Enhancing and managing processes, tools, and technology implementations to boost efficiency in planning, design, and project execution.
    • Building relationships with potential partners within the Offshore Wind sector.
    • Overseeing project personnel assignments to ensure effective and economical use of resources.
    • Providing leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
    • Offering senior-level technical expertise and evaluation on O&M projects.
    • Working with a high degree of autonomy.
    • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Key requirements include:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Wind OSS (Offshore Sub Station) Operation & Maintenance services.
  • Proficiency in the main electrical systems such as GIS, Transformers, SCADA, Metering, Protection, and auxiliary systems typical of an OSS (crane, UPS, lifeboat, etc.).
  • Prior experience in bidding and tendering processes.
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with Excel.
  • Excellent command of both Italian and English.
  • Willingness to undertake short-term travel.

Additional qualifications and soft skills:

  • Extensive experience in managing bid project phases, including proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning, scheduling, engineering, design team coordination, quality reviews, budgeting, and client management.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Wind offshore substation design, including layouts, plans, sections, details, auxiliary AC/DC power systems, platform cabling systems, transformers, switchgear, and technical interfaces.
    • Compliance with Grid Code.
    • Protection and control design, including panel arrangements, one lines/single lines, three lines, AC schematics, DC elementaries, equipment wiring, and relay panel wiring.
  • Strong facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven success in managing budgets, savings, and profit margins in completed projects.
  • Proficiency with Electrical Safety Codes and IEEE / ANSI Standards.
  • Ability to positively influence, lead, and manage effectively.
  • Exceptional planning and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities; capacity to present complex information clearly to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
