About the Role

The Executive Housekeeper at Marriott International is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Housekeeping and Laundry services. This role reports directly to the Director of Rooms and is responsible for ensuring that all guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas are clean and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Housekeeping Operations: Supervise daily Housekeeping shift operations, ensure compliance with all housekeeping policies, standards, and procedures, and obtain lists of rooms to be cleaned immediately and prospective check-out or discharges to prepare work assignments.
  • Ensure Guest Satisfaction: Respond to and handle guest problems and complaints, strive to improve service performance, empower employees to provide excellent customer service, and emphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings.
  • Manage Departmental Costs: Participate in the management of the department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals, understand the impact of department's operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives, and manage to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Conduct Human Resources Activities: Supervise staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met, ensure employees understand expectations and parameters, and manage the interviewing and hiring of team members.

Requirements

  • Fluent Italian and English
  • Valid work permit for Italy
  • Previous housekeeping management experience – 3 years
  • Understanding of rooms operations and luxury hospitality
  • Ideally, technical knowledge of Opera
  • Reliability, Motivation, attention to details
  • Strong passion for luxury housekeeping standards and procedures
