Financial Strategist

We are seeking an ambitious finance professional to join our Consumer Finance team. As a key member of our Finance and Strategy team, you will play a critical role in helping Deliveroo make informed decisions and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse business performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to identify drivers of performance and synthesise findings for leadership.
- Drive ad-hoc analysis and support marketing teams to improve business performance.
- Build business cases for new opportunities, such as subscription programs, pricing reviews, or incremental strategic investments.
- Develop reporting tools to understand drivers of performance versus business case assumptions.
- Drive the financial planning process for one or more business lines by working with key stakeholders.
- Identify key financial risks and develop frameworks and controls to mitigate these.
- At least 4 years of relevant industry or startup experience.
- Strong modelling skills, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and G-Sheet.
- Able to influence cross-functional teams without authority.
- Comfort in working independently in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
- The ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions.
- Strong written and oral communication skills combined with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise workloads.
- Solid business judgement and controllership focus.
