R&D Digital Solutions Manager

Who we are looking for Purpose

Responsible for maintaining transparent and ongoing updates regarding plans and execution of digital initiatives within R&D, while providing essential project management support to the R&D Digital Coordination Team and prioritized digital projects.

Aids the R&D Digital Coordination Team in executing the R&D Digital Long-Term Strategy.

Facilitates collaboration with other PPM units on the management and evolution of PPM system applications.

Main Responsibilities


• Oversee project management activities that support the R&D Digital Coordination Team and digital initiatives across R&D, ensuring adherence to project management best practices established by the PMP team.

• Ensure that the Head of R&D and PPM digital strategy & execution support maintains full oversight of R&D digital project timelines, expenditures, and efforts, ensuring that relevant plans are executed on schedule, within quality standards, and budget constraints.

• Provide project management assistance for the implementation of prioritized R&D digital solutions in alignment with the R&D digital transformation roadmap.

• Aid in identifying and disseminating new tools and processes that enhance speed, agility, and the adoption of new technical insights, including the integration of Data Analytics and generative AI into R&D and PPM operational workflows.

• Support efforts in developing digital innovation capabilities and optimize business processes through appropriate technical solutions.

• Assist all PPM departments with the management and evolution of PPM system applications.

• Strengthen the digital network by collaborating with internal experts and partners (GICT, Legal, R&D Procurement, BD, Transformation Office, COIC, R&D functions).

• Facilitate the achievement of shared project objectives through effective communication across functions and relevant stakeholders.

• Encourage business agility and the creation of streamlined processes and tools to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively, adhering to digital project governance protocols.

Experience Required


• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medtech industry, with at least 5 years in project management focused on R&D or related technology solutions.

Education


• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline relevant to pharmaceutical R&D; an advanced degree such as an MS or MBA is preferred.

Languages

Fluent in English.

Technical Skills


• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical research and development, along with a thorough understanding of the tasks required at various stages of drug development.

• Strong grasp of the personnel, processes, and infrastructure involved in the pharmaceutical drug development and new product development lifecycle, with experience in overseeing and implementing new digital processes and tools.

• Relevant experience in project management within the new product development sector.

• Experience with digital transformation projects is a significant advantage.

• PMI PMP or equivalent certification is a notable plus.
