{"h3":{"text":"Job Overview"},"p":{"text":"We are seeking an experienced Automation & IT Expert to join our Expansion Project Team at HHLA PLT Italy S.r.l. in Trieste. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automation solutions to support our business operations. Your expertise in automation and IT will enable us to integrate our current facility into a fully automated state-of-the-art container terminal, leveraging the latest technologies and expertise.

Your primary focus will be on reviewing operational flows and ensuring that automation and IT requirements are met in close coordination with our Operations Implementation Team, Safety team, and Asset team. You will also be responsible for documenting solutions from conceptual to detailed technical implementation, collaborating with external equipment suppliers and internal teams.

As a problem solver and collaborator, you will work closely with our project team to gather and share information, ensuring seamless communication and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

* Derive technical solutions from automation concepts to support business/operations
* Contribute to the solution of automation & IT requirements for all operational flows
* Support automation topics or automated areas
* Liaise with internal & external stakeholders
* Apply best practices in automation, IT & safety
* Forecast problem areas and provide solutions
* Share requirements with the Asset team
* Interface with HHLA PLT Italy existing IT and automation
* Comply with safety and security rules and regulations
* Support the department and business unit where required
* Follow corporate authority matrix, contract policies compliance guidelines
* Actively report improvement opportunities to direct report

Requirements:

* Good English (Italian is a plus)
* Experience (5+ year(s)) in automation/IT (port experience highly valued but not mandatory)
* Experience (5+ year(s)) in building processes and delivering automation projects
* Thorough understanding of safety in automated environments (experience with the Italian legal environment & EU machinery directive highly valued)
* Strong problem solver – both in terms of technical solution as in collaborating with others
* Ability to work in agile environment
* Self-starter with the ability to translate high-level concepts into technical solutions
* Process & logic driven mentality
* Degree in Engineering/IT/Automation or other
