The Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Beauty Category Manager to lead our Buying team in Brugherio, Italy. As a key member of our Senior Manager Merchandising and Planning team, you will be responsible for developing and expanding QVC's brand strategy for the Beauty area.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing the product strategy for the Beauty category, driving newness by identifying and translating trends with our customer in mind.
  • Fostering a curated assortment that aligns with the QVC brand and multiplatform strategy across proprietary and national brands.
  • Overseeing focus on newness/external trends, supporting the identification of growth brands and acquiring exclusive products.
  • Leading vendor and supplier sourcing and management, ensuring compliance.
  • Managing OTB, reviewing sales plans, budgets, and forecasts, reacting to customer trends and trading environments.
  • Analyzing customer metrics and applying those insights.
  • Collaborating with teams in market.
  • Managing the buying team of respective category in daily activities and tasks.
  • Defining strategic team structures to potentialize the business.
  • Formulating goals, creating an environment that enables employees to fulfill the agreed goals motivated by performance.
  • Overseeing the recruitment, training, and performance management of the buying team, following QVC guiding principles.
  • Setting the team's short- and long-term goals, following our department and business goals.
  • Inspiring a team of brand ambassadors, especially in their interaction with vendors.

What You Bring

We are looking for a candidate with deep experience within a head office buying environment. You should be a business owner, a networker, and a negotiator, delivering results with speed. You should inspire creativity and keep the customer at the center of everything you do. You should be a builder of diverse teams, inspiring greatness by creating a culture of recognition, coaching, and empowering your team. You should have a flair for delivering the right product at the right time to our customer.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Excellent English proficiency.
  • Mandatory B2C experience in Beauty.
  • At least 6 years of experience in the Buying field.
  • Interest in the Beauty environment.
  • Strategic thinking related to discussing budget definition, reconciliation, and forecast analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
