Space Quality Assurance Professional

Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the product assurance and safety of D-Orbit's platforms. This will involve contributing to the quality of assigned projects, which may include both platforms and services. The role will also require the development, implementation, and maintenance of product assurance and related safety engineering for assigned projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing space product assurance activities in complex projects, including experience with institutions. They will also have a strong understanding of space quality standards and their implementation.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and implement programmatic and technical documentation, as well as requirements, starting from the applicable product and quality assurance baseline.
- Perform tailoring and statement of compliance on externally provided project requirements.
- Provide support to Product Assurance deliverables status within specific projects and related RIDs and AIs from the Customer.
- Ensure compliance of products and services with respect to internal and external standards and requirements.
- Support technology roadmaps managing quality aspects.
- Work in synergy with project leading team providing PA&S support.
- Monitor and report about subcontractor and supplier quality to ensure compliance with applicable requirements; this may include auditing activities.
- Support the establishment and implementation of standards and best practices in the product and quality assurance field.
- Support the implementation of the configuration management system on D-Orbit projects.
- Support non-conformances management through root cause analysis.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in managing space product assurance activities in multiple complex projects, including experience with institutions.
- Experience on PA&S topics within Space projects.
- Experience working with Space institutional customers.
- Experience with Space Quality Standards (and Space Standards in general), their implementation, and of the space industry in general.
- Ability to manage assigned tasks to comply with project schedule.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Capability of working in autonomy as well as in team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a team setting to meet tight schedules.
- Bachelor or higher engineering degree, in any relevant area such as electronic, aerospace or mechanical/materials engineering.
The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
