Telecommunications Security Solutions Engineer

The Fortinet Systems Engineering team comprises highly skilled professionals who are dedicated to addressing our clients' challenges through the provision of top-tier Cybersecurity solutions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and sustain advanced security frameworks tailored for telecommunications providers.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to guarantee the efficacy of security implementations.
  • Deliver tools and services for threat analysis and incident response to safeguard telecommunications infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee all technical dimensions of the sales process, from initial inquiries to formal proposals and quotations, including project management and active engagement in proof of concepts alongside relevant teams.
  • Possess the capability to comprehend and interpret the technical needs of clients, crafting solutions that surpass competitor offerings.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison for clients and partners, working closely with your sales counterpart.
  • Continuously enhance your knowledge of Fortinet products and solutions while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape and Fortinet's capacity to deliver enduring protection against evolving threats.
  • Effectively position Fortinet solutions to clients, whether remotely or in person, requiring strong communication skills and confidence in presentations.
  • Manage your time efficiently while handling multiple projects concurrently.
  • Keep precise records of activities, contacts, and technical information for all clients and prospects in our CRM system.

Ideal Candidates Will:

  • Exhibit a strong aptitude for security technologies, particularly in encryption and authentication, with additional knowledge in network security, intrusion detection, and related areas being advantageous.
  • Have experience in a pre-sales engineering role, overseeing all technical aspects of deals through to closure.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and their impact on significant wins within their current organization.
  • Show proficiency in building and maintaining client relationships, effectively communicating technical information to various stakeholders.
  • Possess a solid understanding of key security protocols and technologies.
