Plan Review Specialist

FM Global is seeking a highly skilled Plan Review Consultant to join our Consulting & Technical Solutions team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth reviews of technical drawings and specifications for new construction projects, with a focus on fire protection systems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough reviews of fire protection and construction submittals to ensure compliance with FM Global's Engineering Operating Standards and Operating Requirements.
- Identify potential deficiencies and exposures for fire, equipment, and natural hazard perils.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project engineers to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project.
- Provide technical support for client requests and collaborate with the management team to ensure project success.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the fire protection industry, with a strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in CAD software and computer-based calculation tools, with experience in building information modeling a plus.
- Knowledge of fire protection systems and FM Global's VDS/FM Global Standards is required.
- Project and design experience is highly recommended.
- Fluency in English and Italian, with other languages a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with a sound foundation in engineering techniques.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and self-directed, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Results-driven and confident in your ability to deliver high-quality results.
- Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
