About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Director of Sales to join our team in Italy. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving the overall sales strategy and revenue generation for our hotel in Rome.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agents, and partners to increase market share.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in both the corporate and leisure sectors.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns and packages to attract different customer segments.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the competitive landscape.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for senior management.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to enhance performance and achieve targets.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the property.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
- Pre-opening experience will be a plus.
- Proven experience as a Director of Sales or similar role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel.
- Strong understanding of the Rome market and existing relationships with local businesses and travel agents.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Fluency in English and Italian; additional languages are a plus.
