ROLE OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The individual in this position will oversee the creative development of both house and licensed brands, focusing on an integrated visibility strategy that encompasses both physical and digital realms (seasonal and permanent), as well as all trade marketing tools for the wholesale market.

This role aims to enhance the efficiency of developing extensive tools that respond to market demands while adhering to a new sustainable approach and meeting specified timelines for market launches.

A creative mindset coupled with project management skills in visual merchandising is essential for producing innovative and current materials, along with a strong understanding of the luxury eyewear wholesale market to effectively cater to diverse store environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing creative thinking to collaborate with a network of trusted agencies to execute high-visibility initiatives that align with market relevance and timing, thereby enhancing marketing campaigns and seasonal promotions (Sun/Optical).
  • Monitoring project progress against deliverables and milestones, providing status updates, and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including master data and timelines.
  • Fostering close relationships with:
    • The Corporate Brand and Business Brand Management teams to ensure alignment with brand identity and marketing objectives, while acquiring brand assets for each campaign.
    • The WHS Regional team to incorporate market insights into the creative process and oversee in-store execution.
    • The Licenses Team.
    • The POP Supply Chain.

AREAS OF FOCUS AND RELATED TASKS:

  • Creative Briefs: Develop materials design briefs and facilitate feedback loops for final material approvals, integrating digital elements where feasible, while enhancing brand identity and showcasing products.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Implement a sustainable approach in creating tools utilizing eco-friendly and/or recycled materials.
  • Visibility Calendar: Design a visibility calendar that aligns with brand advertising campaigns and seasonal trends in the Sun/Optical sectors.
  • Timeline Management: Ensure adherence to timelines for material availability in alignment with brand campaigns, product launches, peak seasons, and market calendars.
  • Budget Guidelines: Establish brand budget parameters to align coverage tools with local budgets and brand expectations.
  • Market Understanding: Gain deep insights into market needs to ensure appropriate execution in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including the Corporate Brand Team, License teams, POP Supply Chain, and Procurement.
  • Quarterly Reviews: Manage quarterly trade marketing and business reviews with license partners.

INTERNAL: Corporate Brand team, Business Brand Manager team, WHS Regional Team, POP Supply Chain Team, Procurement team.

EXTERNAL: Licenses, Suppliers, Graphic/Creative Agencies.

TECHNICAL SKILLS - IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Expertise in Marketing (Communication, Brand Management, Product).
  • Experience in Visual Merchandising and Retail Environments.
  • Proficiency in Consumer Journey and Partnership Programs.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Strong Project Management skills: highly organized, adept at managing multiple projects within a matrixed organization, results-oriented, with creative problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under tight deadlines.
  • Effective Communication skills: experience in project presentations and interpersonal relationships, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Knowledge in Economics, Business Development, and Budget Management.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to create compelling summary documents for senior management.
  • Familiarity with design software such as Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus.
