Global Sales Strategist

The Sales Engineer position is a dynamic role within the Sales & Marketing Department, reporting directly to the Director of Global Sales. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for advancing the Sales & Strategic Initiatives for our Capital Equipment Industries globally.

- Deliver timely follow-up and prioritize communication.
- Develop strategic plans and collaborate with local management to drive growth.
- Ensure market position is attained and/or maintained in assigned territories.
- Nurture relationships with strategic customer personnel.
- Regularly meet with prime customers (Domestic and International).
Promote "Bartell" products and services by maintaining product knowledge and performing sales and support activities.
- Prepare sales presentations and quotations.
- Support aftermarket service and parts sales.
- Represent the company at trade shows as needed.
Identify individual order opportunities for "Bartell" products and services by developing and executing market strategies.
- Determine customer goals and objectives.
- Develop a full understanding of customer requirements.
- Assist in collecting general marketing information.
- Develop a global account strategy to maximize "Bartell's" opportunities.
Convert order opportunities into sales orders by developing and implementing action plans.
- Arrange project closure meetings and conduct project negotiations.
- Interface with internal departments to ensure order profiles are understood prior to acceptance.
Transfer customer requirements to internal departments.
- Develop complete and accurate equipment specifications per ISO with the customer.
- Coordinate project information between the customer and internal departments.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a manufacturing-related field.
- Engineering background or relevant experience.
- Commercial awareness and negotiating skills.
- General market knowledge and a contact base.
- Total product awareness of "Bartell" products.
- Prior experience in extensive traveling, including international visits, for extended periods.
- Hands-on working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Dynamics (365).
Travel requirements: up to 50%
