Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to lead our expansion into the Italian market. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing our business strategy in Italy, building strong relationships with brokers and clients, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to drive business growth in Italy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients
  • Assess and manage risks to ensure profitability
  • Lead a team of underwriters to deliver strategic goals
  • Manage P&L for the country
  • Align and empower others to achieve business objectives
  • Provide insurance solutions and risk management support to clients
  • Develop business and marketing plans to build brand and product awareness

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading, managing and developing underwriting talent

Professional Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree educated professional, preferably with underwriting specific qualifications
  • Significant experience leading an Underwriting Function within an insurance institution
  • Demonstrable experience in progressive commercial underwriting in the international marketplace
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in managing profitable portfolios
  • Ideal candidate currently holding a PCF role in an insurance company or highly experienced CF level

Leadership Mandate:
