About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, providing top-notch support to our customers, and collaborating with our team to drive innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on data center equipment, including hardware and software troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Collaborate with our team to identify and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime for our customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our customers, providing exceptional support and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the field, applying this knowledge to improve our operations and services.
Requirements
  • IT hardware troubleshooting experience, with a strong understanding of data center infrastructure and operations.
  • Completed formal education or apprenticeship in an IT-related field, with a focus on data center operations and maintenance.
  • Valid EU driving license, as data centers may not have public transportation available nearby, and local travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Diploma or equivalent formal qualification in an IT-related field, with a focus on data center operations and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and experience with network protocols and data center operations.
  • Proficient with ticketing systems and Change Management Systems (CMS).
