Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Operations Specialist to join our team in Milan. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement local in-market sales data and tracking tools to drive sales growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with sales management to implement EMEA segmentation and targeting methodology within Italy.
  • Provide insights on sales and marketing performance and develop continuous improvement proposals to sales management and GM.
  • Analyze and report on monthly sales indicators per country/region/territory.
  • Analyze and report on sales force effectiveness (SFE) KPIs on a monthly basis.
  • Act as a key point of contact for the development and local implementation of EMEA CRM system.
  • Collaborate with sales management and support local training for HQ and sales teams on CRM system usage.
  • Ensure optimal usage of CRM system and accuracy of call recording and related information.
  • Derive insights from sales data to inform local decision making.
  • Support territory alignment and sizing analysis in collaboration with sales management.
  • Support supply maximization optimization (SMO) activities.
  • Provide sales, market, competitor, and SFE data insights to support country leadership decision making.

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field with a major in data analysis.
  • Business proficiency in English.
  • At least 2-3 years of professional experience in commercial operations.
  • At least 1 year of experience in sales force effectiveness, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with various data sources (e.g., IQVIA) and IT applications (MS Excel, CRM systems, databases, etc.).
  • Proven track record of SFE implementation and management in Italy.
  • Proven ability to create insights from competitive intelligence, market research data, and translate into commercially relevant information for decision making.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Significant experience with project management.
  • Sophisticated computer skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel).
