About the Role

Vetropack is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Group Inspection & Packaging Performance Manager. As a key member of our Technical Performance department, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and improving performance across our Cold End areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inspection and packaging processes, ensuring operational safety, effectiveness, and product quality.
  • Lead performance improvement programs across the group, driving strategic goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Cold End managers and production specialists to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
  • Define and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess process effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement operational excellence and continuous improvement culture within the organization.
  • Coordinate and complete projects on time and within budget, overseeing all aspects of project management.
  • Plan and manage budgets and resources for the area of responsibility.
  • Develop training programs for inspection and packaging processes, ensuring best practice exchange within the organization.
  • Perform regular audits of inspection and packaging processes, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform administrative activities necessary for effective department management, including employee selection and development, production scheduling, and salary administration.

Requirements

  • Higher technical or mechanical education.
  • 5+ years of experience in the glass industry, specifically in the Cold End area.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management of similar areas.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CAD, and MES (manufacturing execution system).
  • 6Sigma, Continuous Improvement Skills, and Quality Management experience are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of working time.
  • English language proficiency at C1 level or higher, with Italian and German language skills a plus.
