RINA is seeking a highly skilled Technical Staff - Food Certification Specialist to join its team in the Italy Food Certification Division.
Key Responsibilities- Support the organic manager in the management and control of organic/SQNPI certification practices.
- Manage certified requests, prepare assignments for inspectors, and review practices.
- Carry out inspection checks on organic companies and participate in audits, conducting interviews, taking comprehensive notes, and evaluating management systems.
- Identify and define audit results, including positive and negative findings, and opportunities for improvement.
- Involve in the organic certification process decision-making, including certification committee and certification issue.
- Conduct technical reviews of audit files, providing insights and recommendations for certification decisions.
- Verify customer management system documents, including manuals, procedures, instructions, files, records, and technical documents, to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture/Agronomy/Food Technology or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in the role.
- Quality Management System lead auditor qualification (40 h).
- Courses in organic certification schemes (Reg UE 2018/848, etc).
- Experience in the management and control of organic certification schemes (min 1 year).
- Mipaaf authorization for at least the following activities as inspector: vegetable production, food preparation, livestock production, wine (is appreciated).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Italian.
- Make effective decisions, structuring activities according to priorities, actions, resources, and constraints.
