Business Development Role for Solenis

Solenis is a leading global producer of specialty chemicals focused on delivering sustainable solutions for water-intensive industries, including consumer, industrial, institutional, food and beverage, and pool and spa water markets.

As a Market Expansion Specialist, you will be responsible for expanding market penetration for the assigned region and customers in the Pulp & Paper industry in Tuscany.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop business development strategies and create development plans for relevant areas to reach required business objectives and revenue.
  • Work closely with extended commercial teams to understand business requirements and market needs.
  • Sell new business and new applications in the region, developing and implementing sales plans on new opportunities including documenting ROI and value delivery.
  • Establish, maintain and prioritize an accurate and current sales funnel, managing profitability of the account, reviewing territory applications and processes/procedures for safety improvements.
  • Achieve customer satisfaction resulting in optimal retention of existing business and growth of new business.
  • Maintain and develop customer relations with new and existing customers.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or similar field, or relevant years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Previous experience in Process industry (metals, pulp and paper, mining are preferred).
  • Fluent Italian and good English.
  • Customer focus – Ability to fulfill customer needs and expectations, professional and confident with internal and external customers.
  • Delivering Results – Deliver against strategic business KPIs, passionate about success and delivering operational excellence, while sharing best practice.
  • Ability to make independent decisions, work flexibly, and have a high degree of self-motivation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a true service attitude.
  • Valid driving license – this is a field-based role and frequent travel will be required.
