Job Title: Project Manager

Thales Alenia Space is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in Rome. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading complex projects across various sectors and customers, from initial requirements-gathering to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned budgets, ensuring cost and schedule control of programs.
  • Implement process control actions, particularly those decided during monthly program reviews.
  • Support project requests regarding resource adequacy and manage intra-domain mobility of work and/or resources.
  • Manage forecast program resources in accordance with approved commercial scenarios.
  • Support the Mobility Committee.
  • Monitor competitiveness improvement process actions and results achievement.
  • Report evidence of gaps and drifts, proposing recovery plans.
  • Assist in structuring and planning, providing support to project managers when defining PBS, WBS, OBS, Master Schedule, and RAM.
  • Manage risks and opportunities, elaborating and maintaining the Risks & Opportunities Register.
  • Produce KPIs, preparing reporting and ensuring action plan follow-up.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports with the program core team and interface with customers for clarification aspects.
  • Support contract administration.
Requirements:
  • Project management experience.
  • Core process development skills.
  • Detailed planning and profitability expertise.
  • Feasibility and economic impact analysis skills.
  • Risk and opportunities analysis and control plan development.
  • Establishing work plans and staffing for each phase of the program.
  • Ensuring projects meet requirements and objectives.
  • Transition and change management skills.
  • Continuous improvement expertise.
  • Supply chain management skills.
  • New product development experience.
  • Good knowledge of financial parameters.
  • Fluent English.
  • Experience in manufacturing and finance, preferably with digital transformation aspects.
  • University degree in economics or scientific fields.
