Job Description

Job Title: Sommelier - Wine Connoisseur

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sommelier to join our team at Borgo San Felice Resort. As a Sommelier, you will be responsible for managing the wine cellar, creating wine lists, and providing exceptional wine service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the wine cellar, including inventory, storage, and purchasing
  • Develop and implement wine lists in collaboration with the F&B Manager
  • Manage wine purchases within budget and in accordance with company procedures
  • Participate in the work and responsibilities of the room team
  • Register charges for products sold
  • Support guests' needs by meeting their tastes and optimizing sales
  • Support the management of the Osteria del Grigio cellar
  • Conduct checks on sales trends and objectives in collaboration with the F&B Manager

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience in a similar role in a starred restaurant, R&C, or 4/5* hotel
  • Excellent knowledge of Italian and English, with knowledge of a third language a plus
  • Good knowledge of wines
  • Communication and management skills, customer orientation, and team working
  • Certifications in HACCP and PREVENZIONE INCENDI
