Job Description

This role will be responsible for facilitating international networks and partnerships related to sustainable global value chains. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to identify and pursue funding opportunities, coordinate project implementation, and provide technical support on policies and trends affecting socio-economic sustainability in the banana industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and manage the operations of the World Banana Forum's Working Group 3 on Labour Rights and Working Group 2 on Distribution of Value.
  • Liaise with WG03 and WG02 members for meeting organization, document preparation, advice provision, and follow-up.
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities for WG03 and WG02 priorities.
  • Support project coordination and capacity development activities within member countries.
  • Lead technical work, research, and analysis on socio-economic sustainability issues in the banana industry.
Requirements:
  • University degree or advanced university degree in a relevant field such as Social and Economic Sciences.
  • At least two years of experience in platform/project/working group facilitation or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of English and Spanish for COF.REG.
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with providing remote support and liaising virtually with stakeholders.
Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $73,518.
