Senior Process Engineer for Pharma/Biotech Projects

As a seasoned process engineer, you will take charge of the development, design, and oversight of projects within the pharmaceutical sector. Your expertise in process engineering will be essential as you address challenges and collaborate with team members, contractors, and clients to guide project teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute process design and calculations throughout various project phases.
- Prepare tender documentation and align with suppliers.
- Develop P&IDs.
- Implement customer specifications.
- Manage project execution and oversight.
- Oversee the commissioning of facilities.
- Conduct qualification and validation in accordance with GMP standards.
Depending on project demands and size, you may also be required to perform technical tasks in process engineering, including material and heat balances, PFD, P&IDs, and EDS.
Candidate Profile
You should possess a Master’s degree in chemical engineering along with substantial experience (over 8 years) in the pharmaceutical industry. You are expected to work autonomously while being part of a professional team. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential, as is a customer-oriented mindset with the ability to manage conflicts effectively.
- Solid understanding of upstream and downstream processes, including sterilization and cleaning in place systems (SIP/CIP).
- Familiarity with c-GMP, ISPE, and FDA regulations.
- Previous experience in biotechnology is preferred.
