About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Electronics Systems Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team at D-Orbit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of electrical and electronic systems for our spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Integrate electronic subsystems into the overall spacecraft design, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless functionality.
  2. Technical Documentation: Be responsible for the technical design documentation of electronic boards, including requirements, design description, WCA, PSA, FMEA reliability, procedure management, and test coordination.
  3. Industry Knowledge: Keep up with and know industry and space standards and technologies.
  4. Collaboration: Work with Hardware Engineers and manufacturing team for development and sustaining of current products.
  5. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed documentation of system designs, specifications, and test results to comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  6. Component Selection: Identify and select appropriate electronic components for new space application, considering factors such as radiation tolerance, power efficiency, and durability for use in space environments.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Work experience of at least 7 years in space/avionics industries.
  2. Tools and Skills: Experience with Altium designer tool, Spice simulation tool, and proficiency in using electronic lab instruments.
  3. Education: MSc degree in Electronics or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Advanced PCB Design: Experienced with state-of-the-art PCB design tools and methodology.
  2. High-Speed Design: Proficient with high-speed, mixed-signals and power conversion design.
  3. Electronic Interfaces: Knowledge of common electronic interfaces like CAN, SPI, I2C, RS-422, RS-485, Space-Wire, MIL-1553.
  4. ECSS Standards: Proficient with common ECSS standard electronic analyses like PSA, WCA and FMEA/FMECA.
  5. Space Power and Avionic Unit Architecture: Knowledge of ECSS standard EMC and Sys design.
  6. Additional Skills: Knowledge of FPGA, microcontroller and SoC architecture, and RF system is a plus.
