We are looking for a talented individual to take on the role of Lead Data Architect specializing in Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Data Architect Azure, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing key client relationships
  • Managing partnerships with Microsoft
  • Leading the Azure Center of Excellence
  • Directing Data & Analytics projects on Azure
  • Assisting in recruitment efforts
  • Contributing to the development of our value proposition
  • Enhancing skills and capabilities in areas such as:
    • Designing data platforms utilizing Azure DATA & AI services, including Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake Gen2, and Stream Analytics
    • Architecting operational frameworks and conducting performance engineering for large-scale data lakes
    • Implementing the Microsoft Well Architected Framework (WAF) and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) in solution design
    • Creating and maintaining efficient data pipeline architectures through Azure native services or data management technologies
    • Participating in client design workshops to provide insights and recommendations
    • Mentoring engineers in best coding practices and problem-solving techniques

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive experience in data analytics, preferably within consulting environments
  • A minimum of 5 years managing a team of BI/data analysts
  • Hands-on experience in Azure cloud-native settings
  • Knowledge of Big Data architectures, both cloud-based and on-premise
  • Experience with Azure infrastructure and networking
  • Familiarity with Azure Load & Ingest services such as Event Hub and Databricks
  • Proficiency in Azure Storage services, including Data Lake Gen1 and Gen2
  • Experience with Azure Process & Serve services like Synapse and Stream Analytics
  • Ability to develop proofs-of-concept to meet specific business requirements
  • Experience in migrating workloads to cloud environments
  • Proficiency in monitoring distributed infrastructures using Azure tools or open-source solutions
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Kanban
  • Strong skills in data manipulation and BI tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management capabilities, with experience engaging with senior management
  • A proactive approach to initiatives, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively
