We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Service Professional to join our team at Bellevue Hotel & Spa.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring that every dining experience is memorable and enjoyable. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the hotel, particularly in the dining room and kitchen;
- Providing outstanding service to guests, including taking orders, serving food and drinks, and handling customer complaints in a professional manner;
- Working closely with the maître d' and other members of the restaurant team to ensure seamless service delivery;
- Participating in pre-service preparations, such as setting up tables, polishing silverware, and arranging flowers;
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve excellent teamwork and maintain a positive working environment.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Excellent knowledge of Italian, good knowledge of English and French;
- At least two years of experience in a similar role gained in gourmet and/or starred restaurants, 4*/5* hotels or Relais & Châteaux;
- A strong understanding of wine, including knowledge of wine regions, grape varieties, and wine pairing principles;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and guests;
- A flexible approach to work, with a willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays;
- A strong sense of responsibility, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of service delivery and adhering to health and safety procedures.
