We are seeking an experienced Staff Engineer to join our Digital IC Verification team in Northern Italy.


Vishay Italy is a Fortune 1,000 Company listed on the NYSE (VSH) and a leading manufacturer of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components.



Job Summary

As a Staff Engineer, you will work with an experienced team to develop and maintain verification environments for complex analog and mixed power management ICs.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Developing top and block level verification test plans based on IC specifications
  • Building and maintaining verification environments
  • Driving quality to achieve maximum code and functional coverage
  • Innovating in verification technology
  • Ensuring comprehensive coverage of IC components: hardware and software
  • Analyzing and debugging failures
  • Leading projects from planning to mass production with a focus on pre-silicon performance
  • Providing written and oral communication with the development team regarding coverage reviews, code reviews, deliverables, project updates, and issues


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • PhD, post-graduate, or degree qualification in Electronic Engineering or a similar field
  • 15+ years of relevant engineering experience, including experience as a technical lead and mentor
  • Solid knowledge of UVM and familiarity with vertical reuse techniques
  • Experience in Assertion-Based Verification: PSL and SVA
  • Experience in formal methodology for functional coverage and debugging
  • Experience in scripting: TCL, CSH, Python
  • Knowledge of analog and mixed-signal IC architectures and integration requirements
  • Familiarity with power-aware verification using UPF/UCF
  • Experience in co-verification and knowledge of Jama and Jira (nice to have)
  • Experience with power management products
  • Experience of working in wide-ranging roles and flexible environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
