Financial Institutions Intern

The selected candidate will support the Relationship Manager of the Financial Institutions Sector team in overseeing daily operations within the portfolio of Financial Institutions clients across various regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the team in the Know Your Customer (KYC) process, including Customer Due Diligence, FATCA, CRS, and MiFID;
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders on KYC-related tasks to ensure full compliance with KYC regulations for all clients, including ongoing monitoring of cases that are nearing expiration;
  • Prepare support memos for commercial and risk approvals;
  • Draft commercial advice that encompasses client relationship history, revenue streams, and business objectives;
  • Ensure data integrity within IT systems, including accurate limits allocation and exposure representation;
  • Aid the Relationship Manager in creating presentations for Senior Management and clients;
  • Collaborate with Legal and Financial Institutions Lending departments to prepare lending term sheets and facilitate initial negotiations;
  • Develop integrated product solutions pitches for clients in close partnership with product specialists;
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries by directing them to the appropriate internal resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree;
  • Familiarity with financial products;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Proficiency in Italian and English (both written and spoken);
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
