Plan Review Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Plan Review Consultant to join our team in Milan, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, or Maidenhead office. As a Plan Review Consultant, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth reviews of technical drawings and specifications for new construction projects, focusing on the analysis of associated automatic fire protection systems to ensure compliance with FM Global's Property Loss Prevention Standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough reviews of fire protection and construction submittals based on the Engineering Operating Standards and Operating Requirements.
- Identify deficiencies and reasonably foreseeable physical and human element exposures for fire, equipment, and natural hazard perils.
- Review previous correspondence and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project engineers to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project.
- Provide technical support for client requests as indicated by the manager.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in reading and understanding technical, construction, equipment, and fire protection drawings and specifications from the fire protection industry.
- Experience using CAD software and computer-based calculation tools; building information modeling is a plus.
- Knowledge of fire protection systems and/or construction and experience with VDS/FM Global Standards is required.
- Project and design experience highly recommended.
- Business fluent in English and Italian, other languages are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with a sound foundation in engineering techniques, logical application, and attention to detail.
