SENIOR SYSTEM & PRODUCT ARCHITECT
POSITION OVERVIEW
Fresenius Medical Care, a global leader in dialysis technology and renal care services, is seeking a Senior System & Product Architect.
This role will report directly to the Head of Software Systems & Product Architecture within the Digital Services and Solutions division.
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role as a Senior member of the Software System and Product Architecture team, focusing on the development and architecture of software that underpins our diverse software offerings. The primary emphasis will be on core and extended services that manage Home/In-Center/Critical Care therapies and operations. Additionally, this position will involve architectural responsibilities for Cloud Platforms, HealthTech IoT, Medical Device integration, and EHR systems in alignment with industry standards.
The role allows for a hybrid work model, with the flexibility to work remotely for part of the week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze and categorize the digital ecosystem into distinct domains that enhance functional components. Deliver robust, reliable modules in accordance with an agile architectural framework. Differentiate between medical and non-medical device functionalities to facilitate rapid and independent development cycles. Provide expert guidance in software architecture and engineering methodologies. Collaborate with teams from Customer Journey & Experience and Technology, Innovation, and Architecture to establish a future-ready software system and product architecture.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information/Digital Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. At least 8 years of experience in a similar role, emphasizing platform and product architecture development and management. Proficient in English; knowledge of Italian is a plus. Willingness to travel up to 10%. Availability to manage workload during peak periods to ensure timely delivery.TECHNICAL SKILLS
Understanding of basic networking principles. Familiarity with Virtual Machines. Proficient in Windows and Linux environments. Experience with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code. Knowledge of MS Office, Miro, and Figma is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Stack (.NET, C#), Microservices, and event-driven architectures. Experience with Containers, OCI, Docker, and Kubernetes. Knowledge of React and relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) as well as document databases (MongoDB, CosmosDB). Familiarity with Cloud Stack (Azure) and Shell Scripting (Bash, PowerShell).PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
