Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our business operations team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and ensuring the successful delivery of commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the internal client advocate and leader of the business at the site, balancing and driving both the client's and Patheon's requirements and priorities.
  • Identify new business opportunities with existing customers and partners with Sales to assess and implement these.
  • Ensure that expected service levels are being provided and that required planning and technical information is being exchanged appropriately between organizations.
  • Ensure client and company are operating in compliance with MSA (Manufacturing Supply Agreement).
  • Prepare and submit commercial services proposals to customers. Complete commercial assessments and generate and negotiate quotations for technical changes and in response to customer requests for additional services.
  • Facilitate effective internal communication of new project requirements, coordinate and manage customer site visits, and promote company and site capabilities.
  • Partner with PMO and Technology Transfer project managers to assume control of tech transfer projects upon validation and ensure 100% on-time launches.
  • Assess ongoing business and provide technical solutions to the client to address process robustness or business challenges.
  • Ensure client's forecasts are represented accurately in S&OP process; assist in development of annual commercial revenue budget.
  • Ensure cGMP is applied in work area and follows cGMP in all areas.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Engineering, Science, Finance and/or Business required. Master's of Business Administration (MBA) degree preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Approx 4 years of previous related experience in project management, account management, sales or marketing with internal or external client-facing responsibilities. Pharmaceutical or Contract Manufacturing industry experienced preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Proficient in Italian and English.
