Job Description

Saint-Gobain Abrasivi S.p.A., a Top Employer certified company, is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Product Application Trainer Emea. This role will report to the AAM Product & Channel Manager EMEA and will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing technical training to the SGA sales team and training the trainer for local technicians, ensuring they have the best knowledge and safety on our products and applications;
  • Delivering technical training and support to the sales team and their clients, ensuring sales and building sustainable and long-term commercial relationships with distributors and key clients;
  • Contributing to the development of products and applications for these markets (Abrasives and System Components), working closely with Product Management and R&D, conducting tests and proposing practical and innovative solutions, taking into account the competitive landscape;
  • Ensuring the preparation of training (theoretical and practical) with regular maintenance in line with new Saint Gobain Abrasives products/solutions and in line with the evolution of applications and market needs;
  • Ensuring the availability of the best level of technical center (the reference point) and supporting the local team by advising on how to maintain their local technical center at a good level;
  • Improving the technical knowledge of the Saint Gobain Abrasives sales team, providing technical support to the local sales team and their clients (usually distributors but can also be an important key client), acting as an interface between the identification of solutions to customer needs/infrastructures using SGA product/ range.
Requirements
  • Diploma in a technical field or formal technical training with experience in grinding and/or processing/painting in the automotive and/or repair world and/or knowledge of the repair process and applications of automotive/transportation;
  • Strong manual skills and product/application experience are necessary to perform demonstrations and teaching;
  • Commercial awareness, to understand the business needs of the customer and identify plans to meet them;
  • Effective influencing and communication/presentation skills, with the ability to understand and explain technical concepts at different levels;
  • Knowledge/communication of foreign languages (at least English - Grade C level);
  • Independence and perfect organization of work and travel;
  • Attitude to create and maintain relationships and networks, using them to understand and influence opportunities.

Work Location: Corsico (MI), with occasional travel to Italy and Europe.

Contract Type: Indefinite contract.
