A Dream Role for Tech-Savvy Professionals

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical and Mechanical Technologist to join our team in Amazon's Data Centers. As a key member of our Engineering and Facilities team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers and delivery of top-notch services to our customers.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure for our Data Centers (DC) in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud regions. This includes troubleshooting events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs), taking daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment, supervising contractors, and performing manual handling and lifting of equipment when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety: Maintain the highest safety standards and encourage a world-class safety culture.
  • Engineering & Facility Operations and Maintenance: Operate and maintain technical infrastructure, including electrical and mechanical equipment, and ensure the implementation of safety procedures.
  • Operational Experience: Troubleshoot events, take daily readings, supervise contractors, and perform manual handling and lifting of equipment.

Requirements

  • Professional or formal Electrical Certification or Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field.
  • Demonstrate key electrical competencies and knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Very good command of English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data Center/mission-critical engineering experience.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • Familiarity with Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) control systems.
