Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Integration Engineer who will offer a wide array of expertise to facilitate the deployment of comprehensive financial risk solutions, primarily focusing on management and regulatory needs. This position entails providing support and consultancy to ensure our clients receive optimal guidance, advice, and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver consultancy and product support both internally and to clients, leveraging a thorough understanding of the Algorithmics product suite and implementation needs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, senior engineers, and financial engineers to define and scope configuration, interfacing, and enhancement tasks.
  • Execute setup and configuration of Algorithmics and third-party products, including databases, middleware, and reporting solutions, while troubleshooting and testing for initial installations and system upgrades.
  • Install products and customized components at client locations, assist with acceptance testing, and provide first-line support post-implementation.
  • Develop tailored solutions and modules using various development tools.
  • Design and implement interfaces between client source systems and Algorithmics products, primarily utilizing the Algorithmics data mapping tool.
  • Conduct training sessions through formal courses and workshops for both internal teams and clients.
  • Present product overviews and lead discussions during client pre-sales engagements, as well as develop pilot and proof of concept solutions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
  • Proven experience in software or database systems development and/or support, with a strong background in project life cycles and complex product installations.
  • Familiarity with database fundamentals (SQL, installation, sizing, performance); advanced DBA skills are not mandatory, but experience with a current RDBMS is essential.
  • Proficient in UNIX commands, file systems, and UNIX application installation and shell scripting.
  • Experience with systems interfacing or data migration, utilizing mapping tools or custom solutions.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Italian.
  • Preferred Skills
  • Ability to collaborate with functional and technical teams to deliver implementation activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in office tools for financial validation and documentation.
  • Programming skills in data modeling (Shell Scripting, Visual Basic, Python) are advantageous.
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with risk management concepts (market risk/credit risk) in commercial or treasury settings.
  • Experience in reporting systems design and development, particularly with OLAP tools.
  • Familiarity with middleware solutions.
  • Development experience and coding skills in VB, Java, or C++.
  • Understanding of web-based delivery and Java components.

The candidate should possess a keen interest in the challenging domain of market and credit risk, demonstrating an ability to understand the fundamental financial mathematics and risk measurement methodologies delivered by Algorithmics solutions.
