SS&C Technologies Holdings, a leader in financial risk management, regulatory compliance, and performance measurement, is looking for a dedicated Integration Engineer. This position is essential for delivering comprehensive financial risk solutions to our esteemed clients in banking, insurance, asset management, and hedge fund sectors.

Role Summary
The Integration Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting the deployment of end-to-end financial risk solutions, ensuring alignment with management and regulatory standards. This position requires a proactive approach to client consultancy, guaranteeing that our clients receive optimal guidance and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert consultancy and product support, leveraging a deep understanding of the Algorithmics product suite and its implementation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, senior engineers, and financial engineers to define and scope configuration, interfacing, and enhancement tasks.
  • Manage the setup and configuration of Algorithmics and third-party products, including troubleshooting and testing for both initial installations and system upgrades.
  • Oversee the installation of products and customized components at client locations, assist with acceptance testing, and offer first-line support post-implementation.
  • Develop tailored solutions and modules using various development tools.
  • Design and implement interfaces between client source systems and Algorithmics products, primarily utilizing the data mapping tool.
  • Deliver training sessions, both formal and workshop-based, to clients and internal teams.
  • Lead discussions during client pre-sales, and develop pilot and proof-of-concept solutions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in software or database systems development and support, with a solid understanding of project life cycles and complex product installations.
  • Familiarity with database fundamentals (SQL, installation, sizing, performance) is required; advanced DBA skills are not mandatory.
  • Proficient in UNIX commands, file systems, and application installation, including shell scripting.
  • Experience with systems interfacing or data migration, utilizing mapping tools or custom solutions.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Italian.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with functional and technical teams during implementation activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in office tools for documentation and financial validation.
  • Programming skills in Shell Scripting, Visual Basic, or Python are advantageous.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of risk management principles (market risk/credit risk) in a commercial or treasury context.
  • Experience in reporting systems design and development, particularly with OLAP tools.
  • Familiarity with middleware solutions and development experience in languages such as VB, Java, or C++.
  • Knowledge of web-based delivery and Java components.

This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong technical background in development and systems or database administration. The candidate should demonstrate a keen interest in market and credit risk areas and possess the ability to understand the fundamental financial mathematics and risk measurement methodologies associated with Algorithmics solutions.
