About the Role

As an Area Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for leading a team that ensures the smooth operation of our Fulfilment Centres. This key role involves creating and driving a culture of safety and wellbeing, analysing and implementing changes to maintain high quality and productivity, and overseeing projects to streamline processes and improve customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Safety and Wellbeing: Create and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing across the team, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  2. Quality and Productivity: Analyse and implement changes to maintain high quality and productivity levels, ensuring that our customers receive their orders on time.
  3. Process Improvement: Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimise productivity, and increase quality of service for customers within your area of responsibility.
  4. Operational Excellence: Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives and put in place actions to improve operational excellence.
  5. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices and ensure consistency across the team.
A Day in the Life

You will work on a shift pattern at one of our Fulfilment Centres, ensuring that it is as productive as possible. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing, uphold quality and shift performance standards, and oversee process improvements within your area.

About the Team

The Customer Fulfilment team is the foundation of our business, handling over 1.5 million orders every day. We are a dynamic team that is always looking for ways to improve and innovate, using emerging technology to offer a bigger, better product range delivered quickly and affordably.

We are based in Fulfilment Centres, which are at the heart of Amazon's fast-paced Operations network. Our centres are the 'First Mile' because it's where most Amazon packages start their journey. We help to manage dynamic inventory and facilitate speedy deliveries round the clock.

Requirements
  1. A degree in a relevant field
  2. Relevant experience in people management
  3. Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership
  4. Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  5. Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language
