RINA is seeking a motivated individual for the position of Internship - Bridge Designer within its Infrastructure Division.

Mission

The selected candidate will become part of the Road and Bridge Design team, focusing on critical assessments of existing bridge structures.

Key Responsibilities

The intern will engage in activities related to evaluating current bridges, emphasizing the implementation of the latest Italian Guidelines for bridge assessment and monitoring.

The primary focus will be on analyzing various factors associated with the evaluation of existing bridges, adhering to the Italian Guidelines, NTC2018, and Eurocode 8 standards.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Design.
  • Basic understanding of Italian and International Technical Codes relevant to bridge design (NTC2018, Eurocodes, American Codes).
  • A master’s thesis focused on the assessment of existing post-tensioned bridges is considered advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SAP2000 and Midas Civil software.
  • Completion of coursework in bridge design, seismic design, reinforced concrete structures, and steel structures.
  • Basic proficiency in English.
