About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Product Software Engineer to join our team at Tagetik Software S.r.l. as a key member of our software development department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Architecture Definition: Contribute to the definition of software architecture, working closely with other teams and software architects to ensure a holistic view of the software solution.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to other developers, driving quality and productivity through code reviews and technical coaching.
  • Product Development: Actively participate in the product life cycle, from requirements definition to design, implementation, and product integration.
  • Collaboration: Cooperate with architects in the product architecture evolution, following industry trends and identifying options for the right choices.
  • Methodologies and Technologies: Master methodologies and technologies related to the product software development life cycle and its enabling tools.
  • Quality and Productivity: Drive quality and productivity through continuous improvement and technical coaching.
  • Next Generation Technologies: Investigate and propose next-generation technologies to solve current and future technical challenges.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain and promote the holistic view of the system.
  • Business Requirements: Cooperate with Product Management to address business requirements and their implications on architecture and non-functional requirements.
  • Leadership: Drive and take leadership when the team is facing challenging situations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (or equivalent field). Work experience may substitute for education requirements.
  • Technical Skills: Strong experience with Java (preferred) or C# and their application development frameworks (such as Spring). Good experience with frontend-oriented technologies, such as JavaScript, and Typescript, with a focus on Angular 2+ Framework.
  • Design Patterns and Principles: Solid understanding of Design Patterns, API design, and SOLID and Clean Code principles. Exposure to software development best practices such as TDD and Refactoring.
  • Test Practices: Solid experience with test practices, such as unit, integration, and E2E testing, and their automation.
  • Relational Databases: Solid knowledge of Relational Databases, such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SAP HANA.
  • Judgment and Problem-Solving: Strong judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical and Debugging Skills: Strong analytical and debugging skills, with attention to details.
  • Time Management: Effective time management.
  • Presentation Skills: Good presentation skills.
  • Application Performance Analysis: Strong experience in application performance analysis and resulting optimizations.
  • Software Requirements Analysis: Experience in software requirements analysis and in writing technical documentation.
  • Cloud Computing: Good understanding of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS and Azure.
  • Distributed Systems: Good experience in designing Distributed Systems (with emphasis on scalability, reliability, and security) and microservices architecture.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Italian and proficiency in English.
