Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team in Termoli, Italy. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving manufacturing processes to boost productivity, reduce costs, and minimize environmental, health, and safety risks. You will also champion quality by implementing strategies to ensure our products consistently meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to improve usage, minimize waste, increase capacity and production rates, reduce batch times, and improve product quality.
  • Develop the Process Engineering Package (PFD, P&ID, process specifications, material and energy balances, description of DCS control logics).
  • Develop debottlenecking projects, capacity increase projects, and projects for the introduction and industrialization of new products.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of plant efficiency (OEE).
  • Ensure the implementation of VCP projects and productivity programs.
  • Ensure production procedures are clearly written and updated.
  • Provide training on procedures to operational staff.
  • Define process operating parameters, operation flows, and machine set-up.
  • Monitor daily production (quality, quantity, and yield) and provide the necessary instructions for correcting/preventing any deviations from normality, to achieve targets, and set the production plan and budget.
  • Ensure the execution of SAP production confirmations.
  • Develop software systems, spreadsheets, process, and production monitoring systems to improve efficiencies.
  • Interface with the production and maintenance supervisors to resolve plant anomalies and troubleshoot machine failures.
  • Coordinate Investigation Reports and Cause Mapping for Process, Production, Safety, Environmental, and Quality issues.
  • Support the site to divulgate the Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement/LEAN/6-Sigma culture.
  • Implement Six Sigma, CI, 5S, Lean, and Operational Excellence programs.
  • Maintain relations with other plants and ensure the implementation of Best Practices and initiatives required by the corporation.
  • Ensure the implementation of quality and EHS programs (ISO45001, EMAS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
  • Responsible for Safety Analyses, Process Safety, and PSM programs.
  • Coordinate Project Design Safety Review and Pre-Start Up Safety Review.
  • Participate in PHA/HAZOP analysis.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in chemical engineering.
  • First work experience including apprenticeships, etc.
  • Teamwork and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • English and Italian language skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma/ Lean/ Continuous Improvement tools.
  • Knowledge and experience with problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience in high-risk industries (Seveso).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to cope with setbacks/demonstrate agility.
