Job Summary:

As a Plant Operations Manager at Trane, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the plant, aligning with the company's strategies and policies. Your key objectives will include establishing and achieving short- and long-term goals, ensuring the viability of the organization, and producing customer orders in compliance with safety, quality, costs, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day activities within the plant to achieve short- and medium-term financial and operating objectives.
  • Advise on strategic and complex projects, providing necessary support for the successful implementation of plant initiatives and new product introduction projects.
  • Monitor investments and financial results, fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment, high morale, and employee engagement.
  • Represent the plant leadership with external contacts and collaborate with various departments, including human resources, quality, manufacturing engineering, logistics, production, and sales.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Windchill, Oracle R12, MES, and office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Knowledge of ERP, PLM tools, and their general functioning.
  • Understanding of the order cycle and its impacts at each stage.
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean tools, product knowledge, manufacturing processes, and quality processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and decision-making abilities.
