Job Title: Human Resources Officer - Learning and Development Specialist

FAO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Officer - Learning and Development Specialist to join its team in Rome, Italy.

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Officer - Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of innovative learning and talent development programs, ensuring alignment with FAO's strategic priorities and evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of corporate learning programs and products, including e-learning, workshops, and other learning initiatives.
  • Develop and implement learning strategies and solutions to address competency gaps and needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify training and learning needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Evaluate and select vendors for the design and delivery of learning initiatives and programs.
  • Measure and track the effectiveness and impact of training and learning solutions.

Requirements:

  • Advanced university degree in human resources management, law, business administration, organizational development, industrial psychology, or a related field.
  • Seven years of relevant experience in human resources management, including learning, leadership/organizational development, and career development.
  • Working knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of another FAO official language.

Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing capacity building initiatives using various learning methodologies.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and coordinating leadership development strategies and programs.
  • Familiarity with automated human resources and technology-enhanced platforms and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in using learning data and evaluation methods to assess learning needs and the impact of training programs.
