Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Electrical and Automation Engineer to join our European Engineering team, particularly those with a background in the pharmaceutical sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the project manager in formulating the budget for electrical engineering and automation initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to technical specifications that align with user requirements.
  • Conduct a technical and economic assessment of proposals received and communicate the preferred options.
  • During supplier negotiations, confirm that contracts adhere to the established budget and project timelines.
  • Oversee project execution to ensure compliance with schedules, health and safety regulations, budget constraints, and approved specifications.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition to the client by conducting acceptance tests to verify project specifications compliance.
  • Coordinate the commissioning phase of the facility and assist in validation processes.
  • Ensure that all documentation is complete and adequate before transferring to the end user.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Familiarity with internal and external lighting systems, including emergency lighting.
  • Knowledge of specialized systems such as smoke and gas detection, access control, and HVAC.
  • Experience with electro-instrumentation systems for process automation, HVAC, and fluid generation and distribution.
  • Proficient in creating electrical panel diagrams, calculating electrical loads, and defining the architecture of electrical systems (medium and low voltage).
  • Proficient in design tools such as Autodesk, Navisworks, and Revit.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in a collaborative, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with MS Project.
  • Experience in engineering for ATEX systems.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating the construction of electrical systems on-site.
