Electrical and Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Automation Engineer to join our European Engineering team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the manager in preparing budgets for electrical engineering and automation projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, and verifying that contracts respect assigned budgets and general work programs.
Main Responsibilities- Project Budgeting and Compliance: Support the manager in preparing budgets for electrical engineering and automation projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, and verifying that contracts respect assigned budgets and general work programs.
- Technical Analysis and Communication: Prepare a technical/economic analysis of offers received and communicate the preference to stakeholders.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Verify, during negotiations with suppliers/contractors, that contracts respect assigned budgets and general work programs.
- Project Execution and Coordination: Ensure the execution of work is aligned with schedules, health and safety laws, budgets, and approved specifications.
- Handover and Validation: Ensure optimal handover to clients after carrying out acceptance tests aimed at verifying compliance with project specifications.
- Start-up and Validation Activities: Coordinate the start-up phase of plants and support validation activities.
- Documentation and Handover: Verify that documentation is complete and sufficient prior to handing over to end users.
- Education: Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 3-5 years of previous experience in a similar role.
- Skills: Knowledge of internal and external lighting systems, special systems, electro-instrumentation systems, and experience with tools such as Autodesk, Navisworks, and Revit.
- Language: Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills and experience working within a multi-functional and variable environment.
- Travel: Flexibility to travel worldwide.
- MS Project: Knowledge of MS Project.
- ATEX Systems: Experience in Engineering for ATEX systems.
- Construction Management: Construction management and coordination experience of the construction of electrical systems on site.
