The Role

We seek a highly motivated and results-driven Partner Specialist to drive partner awareness, pipeline growth, and new business opportunities for MongoDB. The Partner Sales team focuses on developing a pipeline generation strategy through Partners within assigned territories, resulting in aggressive pipeline growth and new customer acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Proactively identify, qualify, and develop sales pipelines through Global/Regional System Integrators.
  2. Collaborate with the Enterprise Sales team to close business and meet/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual bookings objectives.
  3. Build and maintain strong partner relationships, driving growth opportunities and partner success.
  4. Own and manage all partner-related activities on behalf of the VP - Area Sales.
  5. Participate in sales enablement training, including the comprehensive Sales Bootcamp, sophisticated sales training, and leadership development programs.

Requirements

  1. 5+ years of quota-carrying experience in a fast-paced and competitive market with a focus on new business.
  2. 3+ years of quota-carrying experience generating pipeline and selling through Global/Regional System Integrators in a heavy sales matrix model.
  3. Demonstrated ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology.
  4. A track record of overachievement and hitting sales targets.
  5. Skills in building business champions and running a complex sales process.
  6. Previous Sales Methodology training (e.g. MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales).
  7. Familiarity with databases, devops, and open source technology a plus.
  8. Drive and a competitive nature: Possess a strong desire to be successful.
  9. Skills in managing time and resources; sound approach to qualifying opportunities.
  10. Aptitude to learn quickly and establish credibility. High EQ and self-aware.
  11. Passion to grow your career in the largest market in software (database) and a desire to develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of MongoDB products.
  12. BA/BS required.
  13. Fluent in English.
