Digital Manufacturing Business Development Specialist

Due to our ongoing expansion and the importance of Portfolio Development in our corporate strategy, we are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Portfolio Development Representative – Digital Manufacturing in Italy.
Our Digital Manufacturing solution is designed to plan, simulate, operate, and maintain intricate manufacturing systems that yield innovative products. It empowers our clients to create a comprehensive Digital Twin, encompassing Manufacturing Processes (Parts, Assembly), Production Facilities, Operations (MOM, Scheduling, Quality), Logistics, and Service.
Additionally, we influence the Product Design Process by enhancing Test & Quality, Assembly, and serviceability.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary business representative for Digital Manufacturing in Italy.
- Collaborate within a Country Software Sales organization to advance the Digital Manufacturing portfolio by identifying target markets and formulating effective go-to-market strategies.
- Drive revenue growth for the Digital Manufacturing portfolio (including Manufacturing Operation Management, Manufacturing Execution Management, Manufacturing Planning, Quality Management, Advanced Planning & Scheduling, Intra Plant Logistics, PCB Process Planning) through strategic market targeting and execution of initiatives to achieve business objectives.
- Monitor industry trends and generate growth forecasts.
- Evaluate competitor offerings to establish clear competitive advantages for our portfolio across various markets.
- Identify key opportunities within the country, defining the relevant industry, geography, and target accounts.
- Collaborate with Sales Account Managers and Partners to develop strategic plans for targeted customers and opportunities, ensuring alignment with the go-to-market strategy.
Qualifications
We seek candidates with a background in customer-facing software sales, business development, or pre-sales roles. A strong understanding of Digital Manufacturing initiatives and market dynamics is essential.
- Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Proven experience in customer-facing sales, with the ability to communicate effectively with C-level executives.
- Familiarity with Digital Manufacturing Portfolio is highly desirable.
- Capability to comprehend, articulate, position, and present the value of solutions within an industry context and client business.
- Knowledge of the competitive landscape is essential.
- Proficiency in English and Italian is required.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach with a strong drive to develop and expand this portfolio.
- Industry knowledge in Production Engineering and Automation for Discrete and Process applications is essential. Experience in Automotive & Transportation, Aerospace & Defence, Machinery, Electronics & Semiconductor, Consumer Products & Retail, and Medical Technology is advantageous but not mandatory.
